With a heritage dating back to the 17th century, Château Canon La Gaffelière is a highly regarded estate in Saint-Émilion, located in the northeastern part of Bordeaux. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé, this château is celebrated for producing some of the most exquisite and full-bodied Bordeaux wines on the market today.
The 2012 vintage, composed of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc, was aged for 15 months in 80% new French oak barrels, resulting in a wine of exceptional depth and complexity.
The nose reveals intense fruit aromas, dominated by raspberries, strawberries, and delicate honey notes, creating a pure and alluring bouquet. On the palate, lush and full-bodied flavors intertwine with hints of tobacco, mint, and cedar, elegantly balanced by rich oak nuances. The silky tannins and impeccable structure lead to a long, smooth, and captivating finish.
- Foods Pairing: This exquisite wine is reserved for grand occasions, best enjoyed with gourmet European cuisine, premium cuts of beef, lamb, and dishes prepared by top-tier chefs, ensuring an unparalleled tasting experience.
