- Tasting Notes
With origins tracing back to the 2nd century, Château Figeac has evolved into one of the most prestigious estates in Saint-Émilion. Unique among its neighbors, its gravel rich soil provides excellent heat absorption, light reflection, and drainage, crafting an exceptional and unforgettable wine.
This 2010 vintage is a harmonious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, aged 18-22 months in 100% new oak barrels and undergoing malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The result is an expressive, complex bouquet, with ripe plum, raspberry, and hints of pencil shavings. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with structured, crisp tannins, delivering a free-spirited yet authentic, long-lasting finish. The youthful pomegranate-red hue embodies the refined sophistication of Bordeaux’s finest wines.
- Foods Pairing: Pairs beautifully with classic French dishes, such as steak frites, roast chicken, and rich, spiced dishes.
