Established in 1821, Château Langoa Barton is an emblematic estate in Saint-Julien, known for its commitment to producing exceptional, structured wines with age-worthy potential. Since its recognition in the Grand Cru Classé 1855 classification, this estate has remained synonymous with quality and refinement.
The 2012 vintage is a testament to the estate’s expertise, blending 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Aged 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new oak), this wine boasts a deep ruby hue with alluring purple reflections. On the nose, it presents an expressive bouquet of blackcurrant, cherry, and subtle violet and lily aromas, intertwined with hints of vanilla, toasted bread, and sweet spice. On the palate, it offers a medium to full-bodied structure with silky, well ripened tannins, revealing layers of dark fruit, gentle oak, and refined minerality. The long, sensual finish, complemented by its judicious oak integration, leaves a lasting impression of sophistication and elegance.
