Spanning 49 hectares of vineyards 45 hectares in Margaux and 4 hectares in Haut-Médoc Château Dauzac benefits from its proximity to the Gironde Estuary, with gravelly soils that retain heat and provide excellent drainage, encouraging the vines to develop deep root systems for optimal nourishment. Additionally, the estate’s natural protection from Atlantic winds, thanks to surrounding meadows and woodlands, further enhances the uniqueness of its terroir. The 2020 vintage was exceptional, with ideal maritime climatic conditions, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness. Château Dauzac masterfully preserves tradition while integrating modern winemaking innovations, including the use of organic fertilizers and precise temperature controlled fermentation to ensure refined tannins and exceptional complexity.
This wine undergoes meticulous hand harvesting followed by 12-18 months of aging in French oak barrels, which contributes to its depth, structure, and long aging potential.
