The history of Château Clinet dates back to 1595, when the first vines were planted on its esteemed estate. Over centuries of dedication and refinement, Château Clinet has risen to stand alongside the most prestigious names in Pomerol, including Pétrus, Lafleur, and Le Pin. Blessed with exceptional terroir, the estate benefits from three distinct vineyard parcels: La Grand Vigne, with its clay and gravel-rich soil; Les Argilles, known for its deep clay composition; and Le Plateau, characterized by its high gravel content ideal conditions for the sustainable growth of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The 2016 vintage was a particularly successful one, with perfectly ripened grapes harvested at their peak. With Merlot dominating the blend, By Clinet showcases a rich and expressive profile, revealing luscious notes of ripe cherries, dried plums, and roses. Hints of seductive smoky nuances, deeply characteristic of Pomerol, add to its complexity. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with remarkable depth and balance a testament to an exceptional vintage.
