  • Tasting Notes
The vineyards of Apalta rest on ancient alluvial riverbeds, benefiting from a natural fortress like geography where the Andes and Coastal Mountains converge into a majestic semicircular amphitheater. The vineyards boast pre-phylloxera vines of French origin, which continue to produce high quality fruit year after year. These century old vines extend their deep roots into the mineral rich volcanic granite soil, complemented by nutrient rich alluvial sediment from the nearby river. The natural drainage properties of the soil, combined with a Mediterranean climate, cultivate grapes that yield elegant, well-balanced wines. Primus The Blend is a masterful composition of the finest varietals in the region. Each grape is carefully hand selected and meticulously aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a bold structure, while Merlot brings luscious red fruit flavors and a refreshing vibrancy on the palate. The Carménère, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc contribute silky tannins, elegance, and layers of complex spice notes. This exceptionally crafted blend boasts a distinct charm, earning prestigious accolades for its balance and sophistication.
